Class Description: Peaceful Warriors deal with conflict, both internal and external, in an efficient and kind manner, which breeds a stronger relationship with self, family, and community. Skills like appropriate boundaries, effective communication, conflict resolution, distress tolerance, assertiveness, and compromise bring about peaceful relationships in all spheres of life. “Peaceful” because Peaceful Warriors are committed to using non-aggressive means to solve a conflictual or potentially conflictual situation, whether internal or external. My goal is teach you skills through experience, games, crafts, and stories and help you figure out which ones work best for you. The class will vary depending on class dynamics, demographic, and interest. The main structure starts with a short meditation/warm up activity, focus on a main skill or competency, ending with a game or two.
