Description

Grade: 3+
Class Description: This class will cover a variety of jewelry-making techniques including: basic jewelry construction (using headpins, jump rings, clasps, etc.), handmade bead making (paper, fabric, and clay), bead stringing, knotwork (macramé), thread wrapping, handmade chainmail, wire weaving, wire wrapping, and bead weaving. Students will also work with blow torches and soldering tools to make their own components out of silver. Make a necklace, bracelet, chainmail cuff, earrings, brooches, keychains, cosplay pieces, the sky is the limit.  Materials and tools will be provided.
Prerequisites: Good fine motor skills, listening skills, and the ability to follow complex directions.
Annual cost: $390, monthly installment cost: $43.50
